Full Member
Any person who has been working in the fashion industry for at least 5 years (3 of which specially in fashion design) and is currently working as a fashion designer is eligible for Full Membership with HKFDA.

Affiliated Member
Any person who has been working in the fashion-related sector of the industry for at least 5 years is eligible for Affiliated Membership with the HKFDA. Affiliated Member is not entitled to the right to vote or stand as a candidate in the HKFDA Committee Members elections.

Ordinary Member
Any fashion design graduate (age under 30) with relevant qualifications of diploma or degree, currently working in the fashion design sector of the industry with less than 5 years experience, is eligible for Ordinary Membership with the HKFDA. Ordinary Member is not entitled to hte right to vote or stand as a candidate in the HKFDA Committee Members elections.

Junior Member
Any person who has been awarded for Young Talent Award from the fashion design colleges in Hong Kong, or for awards for similar nature, organized by the Association and has been invited by the Association is eligible for membership with the Association as a Junior Member for a two-year term. The Junior Membership will not be renewed upon expiration of the two-year term and a Junior Member will henceforth be an Ordinary Member. Junior Member is not entitled to the right to vote or stand as a candidate in the HKFDA Executive Committee elections.
