Mandy Fong
Mandy Fong graduated from the School of Fashion and Textiles at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University in 2022. During her studies, she developed a strong interest in haute couture and sustainable fashion. After graduation, she participated in several prestigious international competitions, including WorldSkills, the Young Fashion Designers’ Contest (YDC), and the Redress Design Award, earning valuable experience and industry recognition.
Driven by her passion for design, Mandy founded her own label SZMAN in 2022. SZMAN is a sustainable luxury fashion brand rooted in a “modern romantic classic” aesthetic, blending vintage and contemporary elements to express both the softness and strength of femininity. The brand produces garments in limited quantities, emphasizing craftsmanship, refined details, and techniques such as lacework, hand painting, beading, and patchwork.
Mandy’s designs are often inspired by nature, particularly the organic forms of marine ecosystems. Drawing from the structure of deep‑sea white coral, she translates natural growth patterns into intricate pleating on fabric. In one collection, she hand‑embellished a gown with thousands of crystals to mimic the shimmer of mineralized seawater droplets, capturing the delicate, dynamic beauty of underwater life.
SZMAN is committed to sustainable practices, from material selection to production methods. By combining timeless elegance with ecological responsibility, the brand aims to create fashion that not only adorns the wearer but also brings a positive impact to the world.
方思敏（Mandy Fong），於2022年畢業於香港理工大學時裝及紡織學院，求學期間已對高級時裝與可持續時尚建立濃厚興趣。畢業後，她積極參與多項國際及本地設計比賽，包括世界技能大賽、青年時裝設計家創作表演賽（YDC）及 Redress 設計大獎，並累積了豐富經驗與業界肯定。
憑藉對時尚設計的熱忱，方思敏於2022年創立個人品牌 SZMAN，以可持續奢華時裝為定位，融合經典現代浪漫美學，展現女性的柔美與力量。品牌注重限量生產與精緻工藝，並透過蕾絲、手繪、珠繡及拼布等細膩手法，呈現兼具時代感與獨特性的設計語言。
Mandy 的創作靈感多來自自然，尤其是海洋生態的有機形態。她曾以深海白珊瑚為靈感，透過複雜摺皺工藝重現自然生長紋理，亦曾於禮服上手工鑲嵌上千顆水晶，模擬海水在微光下的閃爍質感，細膩呼應海洋生命的律動與層次。
SZMAN 秉持可持續設計理念，選用優質面料，重視工藝細節，致力創造兼具美感、質感與環保價值的時裝作品，為當代時尚帶來積極而長遠的影響。
