Riding on the success of JUXTAPOSED 2023 in Bangkok, JUXTAPOSED 2023 was followed by a detour to Shenzhen, bringing audiences in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area, a multi-sensory feast of fashion, culture and high technology. Audience and viewers will be able to drench in the creativity of 52 Hong Kong fashion talents and 4 designers from Shenzhen and Macau. Outfits that are specially made with sustainable elements by diversified generations of Hong Kong fashion designers will parade in a hybrid physical virtual fashion show production. Using the newest VR technology, the virtual fashion outfits will be paraded alongside actual and VR generated models, thus promising the audience a truly memorable and inspirational fashion presentation.

InterVision Fashion Flow 2023 aims to take 30 fashion designers from HK and other GBA cities onto a dose of creative journey. Around 60 pieces of artistically created outfits were strutted down the runway in late November 2023; serving the audience from around the world, gathering the most influential design gurus and professionals in fashion and design from GBA to an evening of glamour.

InterVision Fashion Flow 2023 stood in the forefront of style, fashion, creativity and innovation, placing Hong Kong as the hub in GBA and the ultimate centre of fashion and design.

JUXTAPOSED 2023 first took Hong Kong’s fashion talents overseas to Bangkok, opening as one of the highlight events of Hong Kong Week 2023. To further showcase the works of participating designers, the virtual fashion show and pop ups will be continued for 2 weeks after the opening show, allowing public in these 2 cities a closer encounter with Hong Kong design talents. JUXTAPOSED 2023 will aim to be an impressive and memorable presentation of not only Hong Kong’s fashion design talents, but also a glimpse into our ability to bridge fashion, design, and innovative technologies; creating a mind-blowing voyage around a whole new spectrum, pinning Hong Kong to be an important innovative and creative city in Asia.

Hong Kong Fashion Designers Association collaborated with the Lenzing Group and invited 10 Hong Kong fashion designers to create unique showpieces, using inventive, sustainable fabrics from Lenzing Group’s TENCEL™ Luxe product line. The 10 fashion designers included Walter Ma, Henry Lau, Arto Wong, Charlotte Ng, Shirley Wong, Singchin Lo, Kenny Li, Janko Lam, Isaac Yuen and Lu Lu Cheung.

The full collection and virtual catwalk were showcased at HKTDC's CENTRESTAGE from 9 to 11 September 2022.

As part of the celebration of the 25th Anniversary of the Establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR), Juxtaposed 2022 FASHION META was held at the space at 59 Queen’s Road Central. It led visitors on a journey around 4 thematic exhibition zones - HK, Shanghai, Seoul and Paris, where 70 local fashion design units across different generations and styles expressed their narratives on innovation and traditional craftsmanship. Besides physical exhibits, a curation of virtual images was in store to guide visitors through a synchronised VR fashion experience. The Pop-Up Shop & first Hong Kong designers’ NFT fashion collection allowed visitors to experience how the exhibition and online shopping are seamlessly merged. In collaboration with local innovative and high-tech production teams, the occasion adopts a state-of-the-art patented technology to host the city’s first 360-degree virtual fashion show at the exhibition venue. Powered by patented technology, visitors can have their virtual avatars generated in real-time to “try on” the wearable art pieces by various designers in the imaginative realm of “JuxtaVerse”. This experience does not only open the door into Hong Kong’s fashion industry; it also unlocks a mind-blowing voyage around a whole new spectrum – one that we call a fashion meta-universe.

Organised by HKFDA in 2022, the Fashion Atelier Certificate Programme (FACP) is a series of practical training programmes to be conducted by international top Masters with the aim to foster and broaden the local fashion and creative industries' awareness and skills, as well as to cultivate current and future generations of fashion creators, thereby raising the Hong Kong fashion design industry to new heights.

Riding on the huge successes of JUXTAPOSED Fashion x Music 2017 and 2018, another ground breaking "JUXTAPOSED 2020" fashion exhibition x popup event was organized. It was the first time ever for 75 Hong Kong fashion designers to be featured in Landmark HK, the iconic and prestigious retail mall, alongside the most luxurious international brands from around the world.

To provide the public a further chance to learn more about their works, VOGUE HK presented all pieces in a spectacular HK Designer Dossier booklet.

"JUXTAPOSED Fashion x Music 2018" was the first ever fashion show in Tai Kwun's more than 100 years of history. With its historical value, the former Central Police Station compound set as a perfect backdrop for JUXTAPOSED 2018, fusing classic, traditional heritage with creative modernity.

In addition to the parade, the works of 75 Hong Kong designers were exhibited in an innovative setting, offering the audience an unparalleled and immersive experience.

With the night view of Victoria Harbour as its backdrop, "JUXTAPOSED Fashion x Music 2017" staged and paraded the works of 80 Hong Kong fashion designers together with live music by various local and overseas music performers.

By fusing and combining fashion with music, JUXTAPOSED created a dynamic interaction to cross inspire and to spark both industries and their creative talents, further generated the interests and awareness of the creativity of Hong Kong culture and designs.

For the first time HKFDA co-organized "The Young Talent Award Ceremony 2017" with K11. It was also the first public fashion show that spanned indoor and outdoor, as well as the fashion exhibition that displayed works of past winners and current nominees to showcase fashion masterpieces of exceptional creativity.

HKFDA member designers participated in "Fashion + Paper, Scissors and Rock" exhibition presented by Leisure and Cultural Services Department, and organised by Hong Kong Heritage Museum in 2016.

Five young fashion designers and artists worked collaboratively with traditional craftsmen, covering the techniques of gold gilding, handmade copperware making, Cantonese opera headgear making, paper crafting, Guangcai porcelain painting, and rattan weaving to create a unique fashion series. The passion and creativity of the contemporary designers, together with the persistence of traditional craftsmen and the inheritance of their craftsmanship, sparkle to form part of the unique culture of Hong Kong.

HKFDA participated in "Hong Kong Week" in Taipei. "UNZIP Creativity - Hong Kong Fashion in Taipei 2016", used zipper - a small but indispensable element of various fashion items - as the theme, and it invited over 60 established and young designers from Hong Kong and Taiwan to display their spectacular works at Huashan 1914 Creative Park, Taipei.

The HKFDA Young Talent Award, Mickey Lee Fashion Illustration Award and Ten Best Fashion Visionaries Award were also presented at the event. The glamour was unparalleled.

Sponsored by CreateHK, HKFDA organized a large-scale fashion show for "CENTRESTAGE", a Hong Kong Trade Development Council's promotion project for fashion industry. Fabulous works from 50 Hong Kong local designers were showcased.

The Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Guangdong (GDETO) of the Government of the HKSAR staged "The HK Exhibition" in the 11th China (Shenzhen) International Cultural Industries Fair (ICIF). A number of exquisite Hong Kong designed fashion and industrial products were displayed to showcase Hong Kong's strength as a regional design hub.

Co-organized with Lee Gardens, "Lee Gardens On Stage since 1923" turned Hysan Place into a fashion stage, showcasing fine-crafted qi-pao collection from the 20s, fashion from the 30s till now, works by renowned and shooting-star local designers, and a six-meter silver gown constructed of Christmas decorations that presented the changes of fashion trend in Hong Kong over time.
